For Artists

Payments & fees

What fees do I pay as an artist?+
We charge a 10% platform fee on each track sale, deducted from your earnings before payment. For example, if you sell a track for $10.00 you'll receive $9.00 (90% of the sale price). Fans pay an additional Stripe processing fee of 3.4% plus $0.30 per transaction, which is added to their total and does not affect your earnings.
What is Stripe verification and why do I need it?+
Stripe verification is required to receive payments from fans. Until your Stripe account is verified, your tracks won't be visible to fans. Open your Dashboard and use the Stripe Connect card to complete verification — once it's active, your tracks go live and you can start earning.

Tracks & uploads

How do I upload my tracks?+
Open the Catalog page from your sidebar and switch to the Tracks view. Click Upload tracks and drop in your audio files — that's all uploading does (recommended: AIFF, WAV, or FLAC for best quality). Once they're in, click a track to set its title, genre, price and cover art. When you're ready to sell, package tracks into a release with New release (album, EP or single) in the Releases view, or use Release as single on a track.
I uploaded my music but nothing shows on my page+
Uploading puts a track in your Catalog — it stays private until it's part of a release you've made live. Open the release from your Releases page and work through its Publish checklist:
  • At least one track
  • Price set ($0.50 minimum)
  • Payments connected
  • Release date set
When all four are checked, click Make live. Until then the release stays a Draft and fans see nothing on your artist page. If payments are the item still outstanding, that button reads Connect payments to publish instead — finish Stripe verification from your Dashboard, which is the most common reason music never appears.
What audio formats are supported?+
We support MP3, AAC, OGG, WAV, AIFF, and FLAC formats. For the best quality, we recommend uploading uncompressed formats like AIFF, WAV, or FLAC. Compressed formats (MP3, AAC, OGG) are accepted but may result in lower audio quality.
What is an ISRC code?+
ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is a unique identifier for your recording. While optional, it helps with music distribution and tracking. You can add your ISRC code when creating or editing a track.

Showtimes

What is a showtime drop?+
Your showtime drop is a purchase page on your artist URL (musicunincorporated.com/your-username/showtime) where fans buy a bundle of the releases and tracks you pick. You set a minimum price, and the drop is either Live or Offline — it can only go Live once you've connected payments.
How do I manage my showtime drop?+
Open the Showtime Manager to build your drop: add the releases and tracks you want fans to buy, then set a Minimum price. Optionally add a Drop title, Location, cover image, Fan Message, and a Post-purchase bonus (a private message and a YouTube link) that fans unlock after buying. Once you've connected payments, click Go Live — or Take Offline to hide the drop again.

For Fans

Showtime drops

What is a showtime drop?+
A showtime drop is an artist's dedicated purchase page — a bundle of the releases and tracks they've picked for fans to buy in one place. After buying, you may unlock bonus content from the artist, such as a private message or a private YouTube link.
How do I access an artist's showtime drop?+
Artists share a link or QR code — at gigs, on socials, anywhere. Follow it to land on their showtime page, where you can buy whatever they've put in the drop and unlock any bonus content they've attached.
What if the artist takes their showtime Offline?+
When an artist takes their showtime Offline, the page is no longer available to buy from. Anything you've already bought stays yours forever — including any post-purchase bonus content — and remains accessible from your Purchases page.

Purchasing

How do I purchase music?+
Browse artist profiles to discover music. Open a release you like and click the “Get the release” button — you'll enter your email and card details right there to complete your purchase. No account is required; we email you a secure link to download your tracks as soon as your payment goes through.
Are there any additional fees when purchasing tracks?+
Yes — there is a small Stripe processing fee added to your purchase: 3.4% of the purchase amount plus $0.30 per transaction. For example, a $10.00 track totals approximately $10.64 including the processing fee. This covers secure payment processing and is standard for online transactions.
