For purposes of this Privacy Policy: (i) an “Artist” means a user that has registered an “Artist” account on the Serv ice and uses the Service for the purpose or intention of promoting, selling, or distributing musical recordings; and (ii) a “Fan” means an individual an unregistered user of the Service or a user who has registered a “Fan” account on the Service that, in either case, uses the Service for the purpose or intent of discovering Artists, music, or musical recordings or purchasing musical recordings.
Reading this Privacy Policy will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. We are responsible for making decisions about how your personal information is processed. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you disclose to us
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Service, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Service, when you use or interact with the Service, make a purchase or sale on the Service, or otherwise when you contact us.
Account and user information provided by you

Payment Data
Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). When you pay, your card details are entered directly into Stripe's payment fields and sent to Stripe. We never receive or store your card number, security code, or bank account details. We receive transaction records such as the amount, date, and status, which we associate with your transaction. Artist Financial and Tax Information
Artists receive payouts through Stripe Connect. Stripe collects your taxpayer identification number, bank account details, and tax-form information (such as IRS Forms W-9 or W-8) directly on its own pages. We do not receive or store them. We store your Stripe account identifier and your payout and verification status. Stripe reports qualifying payment volume to tax authorities as required under Internal Revenue Code Section 6050W.
Location Information
You may be asked to provide or be given the option to provide location information on the Service. However, you will be required to type it in. We do not read it from your device.

How we use artificial intelligence
Some features use third-party AI service to process content you give us. When a feature does this, the relevant content is sent to that provider, processed, and returned. We do not keep the copy sent for processing, and your content is not used to train the provider's models.

We may give you the option to opt-in to having your email address shared with an Artist for marketing purposes by checking a check box in connection with making a purchase from that Artist on the Service. If you opt-in to such sharing, we will provide your email address to that Artist. Artists are contractually prohibited from using your email for any purpose other than sending you marketing communications about their music and related offerings. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
As a general matter, we will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). We keep account information for so long as you have an active account with us or until you request your account information to be deleted. In each case your account information will be removed within 30 days following the closure of your account or the receipt of your deletion request. We keep tax and financial information for 7 years from the end of the tax year to which the record relates per IRS rules and will remove such information within 30 days following such 7-year period.
However, if you terminate your account or request removal of your personal information, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms and/or comply with applicable legal requirements. In addition, if you are an Artist, we may continue to store and make available certain information and content associated with your account (such as your artist name, profile information, and music files) indefinitely to Fans who previously purchased or lawfully acquired your music through the Service, even after you close your account or request deletion. We do this so that Fans can continue to access the purchases they made and so that our records of those transactions remain accurate. We will retain only the information that is reasonably necessary for these purposes and will stop using it for any other purpose not compatible with this retention.
When we remove your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. How Do we handle DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES?
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected.
